Lots of fun!

This week I was able to meet with Raychellene (the Miss Utah wardrobe consultant) and try on dozens of gowns and get the workings of my wardrobe in order. It was a lot of fun, but after almost 20 dresses, I was beat! We found quite a few fun and beautiful dresses that will be able to wear over the next year.

On Friday, October 15th we had a sleepover at Amy's house (our director) there were 5 of us that were able to make the party- and it was SO MUCH FUN! Some of the MUOT staff was there also and we played games, ate lots of yummy food (my delicious tofu pies & Nutella included) and watched past pageant DVD's till almost 3 am! We decided it was something we have to again...this time with all 23 contestants!

We started out the fun by making a haunted gingerbread house with Amy's two boys...unfortunately our home building skills failed us. The end result was not quite what the box depicted. It was still fun to try though! Next we moved on to trying MY FAVORITE FOOD ITEM- Nutella! Eating it wasn't enough, apparently- we all sported Nutella mustaches.

Amy then showed us how to make 8 minute cake...a recipe passed down from Marisa, MUOT 2010...it was AMAZING and seriously only took 8 minutes! In the morning, Amy treated us all to Magleby's all you can eat french toast and pancakes...we were sleep deprived, but FULL of food! It was a really great time and I'm sure, a repeat party will be in the works!
